Aida Abu-Laban
Aida Abu-Laban is one of those women whose clear, glittering eyes bespeak her creativity and determination. Aida turned her hobby of decorating chocolate and making baskets into a small business which produced a modest income to support her husband and children. However, Aida needed the funds to enlarge her project; her daughter was born with birth defects and required constant care and physical therapy which put a strain on their finances. So, Aida opened a small shop to sell her products; but, the clientele was limited to family and friends - and that was not enough! Aida needed a loan to achieve her dream of opening a large shop in Amman. One day when listening to the radio, Aida heard an advertisement for Tamweelcom and instinctively knew that she would be able to get the financial and moral support that she needed to make her dream a reality. Aida took her first loan of 300JD from Tamweelcom and invested it in purchasing the materials to make her products. From there, she took advantage of the Souk Ayyadi bazaars and showrooms to promote her products and increase her sales. Tamweelcom has helped Aida improve her business; build her client-base; increase her income and provide a better standard of living for her family. She can invest in her daughter's care and send her sons to school. Aida looks forward to the future with hope and optimism knowing that Tamweelcom will guide her to realizing her dreams. Tamweelcom has opened the gates to success and helped Aida pass through them with her will and determination.
