Jordan Micro Credit Company (Tamweelcom) inaugurated its 24th Souk Ayadi bazaar in Aqaba Governorate under the auspices of the Revenue and Customs Affairs Commissioner in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, Mr. Saleh Najadat. The event, which was organized in celebration of Jordan's Independence Day, was attended by the Company's CEO Mr. Ziad Al-Refai, as well as a number of the Company's employees. About twenty clients of Tamweelcom working in the field of handicrafts, including embroidery, ceramics, mosaics, straw, macramé and various others, participated in Souk Ayadi and exhibited their products. This is in addition to henna artists who presented their skills and promoted Jordan's local culture to tourists and visitors of Aqaba.
Souk Ayadi bazaar comes as part of Tamweelcom's strategic plan of merging financial and non-financial services that are extended to its clients through Souk Ayadi, which includes bazaars and permanent showrooms. This is one of the integrated marketing services that Tamweelcom strives to provide in support of productive poor and low-income entrepreneurs. It is also the Company's way of sharing with its outstanding clients celebrations and providing them with direct marketing and selling opportunities for their products.
Tamweelcom's CEO Mr. Ziad Al-Refai stated that "holding this bazaar comes as part of a series of bazaars in all governorates of the Kingdom, amounting to 24 bazaars since the launch of the Souk Ayadi initiative, and at the rate of 5 bazaars a year, aiming at helping small projects owners to market their products, in addition to permanent bazaar markets in Jabal Al-Hussein and Aqaba.
Al-Refai added that "holding these bazaars complements the Company's services that begin with financing through training and leading to marketing." He pointed out that the Company provides its services through 22 branches throughout the Kingdom.
