The Jordan Micro Credit Company (Tamweelcom) organized the first free Medical Day in its branch in Al-Hashemi Al-Shamali.

This Medical Day is the first of its kind in the series of non-financial services that Tamweelcom makes available to its clients of poor producers, low income people, and members of the local community out of its conviction in its social mission.

The Medical Day was organized in cooperation with the Family Health Care Institute (Noor Al-Hussein Foundation) and the Jordan International Insurance Company (JII)

More than 500 cases were served at clinics set up in the branch, 35% of which were from Tamweelcom’s clients and 65% from the residents of Al-Hashemi Al-Shamali area, and medical services offered included general medicine, internal medicine, nose, ear and throat, pediatrics, and diabetes examination.

Free medicines were disbursed for all the various cases.

The Medical Day was a great success in terms of the organization, as all the cases were examined and provided with the necessary medicine. Mrs- Khadija Mohammad, a resident of Nayfeh area in Al-Hashemi Al-Shamali, said: “Tamweelcom provided me with free treatment and medicine.

I wish there were many other free medical days.”

Tamweelcom is a non-profit company and is one of the leading microfinance companies in Jordan that endeavors to fight poverty and unemployment.

It was founded in 1999 and is owned by the Noor Al-Hussein Foundation (King Hussein Foundation)

More than 133 thousand projects have been financed using more than JD 62 million, 96% of the projects were for women.
