15 November2009,Amman- The Jordan Micro Credit Company (Tamweelcom) commenced the third stage of awards distribution under its 2009 Saifak Ala Kaifak (Summer As You Wish) campaign.
The campaign will last for two weeks run and is carried out through Tamweelcom’s 16 branches.
Tamweelcom will be distributing more than 200 electrical appliances and 200 insurance policies in cooperation with the Jordan International Insurance Company.
Prior stages of the Saifak Ala Kaifak campaign included sending two bus-loads of its clients to the Holy Land for the Umra in July and the distributing 2000 educational scholarships to clients and their children within local communities covered by Tamweelcom in August.
The Saifak Ala Kaifak encompasses social objectives that are characterized by providing clients with gifts and awards of a social nature, such as school grants that help reduce school drop rates, electrical appliances that distributed to raise the economic level for Productive Poor and low income people and insurance policies that provide insurance coverage for these families.
The selection process is based on points systems of the Loyalty Card that adheres to specific criteria and principles.
Tamweelcom is a non-profit company and is the leading microfinance company in Jordan that endeavors to fight poverty and unemployment.
It was founded in 1999 and is owned by the Noor Al-Hussein Foundation (King Hussein Foundation). More than 133 thousand projects have been financed using more than JD 62 million, 96% of the projects were for women.
