Tamweelcom launches its latest service
The progress loan for micro-entrepreneurs and VTC graduates

 

“Tamweelcom” The Jordan micro credit company, pioneering in the field of micro-finance, launches its latest financial service campaign under the title ”The Progress loan”, targeting micro-entrepreneurs in various sectors as well as VTC graduates.

The amount of the Progress Loan ranges between 1500 JD - 5000 JD and is re-paid in easy monthly installments within a period ranging between 4-24 months. There are also added values to the loan as every client is provided with a feasibility study and training free of charge in cooperation with “Irada” the enhanced productivity center, as well as free advertisements in “Al-Waseet” weekly newspaper, and free loyalty cards, in addition to a wide variety of rewards and gifts for the year 2008.

Tamweelcom’s CEO Mr. Ziad Al-Refai indicated that “The Progress Loan” is aimed at both male and female micro-entrepreneurs of licensed projects in the commercial, services, professional and crafts sectors, as well as VTC graduates owning existing projects or in the search for a decent funding to start up their own projects and do not have access to traditional loan plans due to their inability to provide the necessary guarantees, Tamweelcom aims to provide the best of its financial and non-financial services to micro-entrepreneurs for they are considered a backbone in the Jordanian economy.

“The Progress Loan” falls under the financial services which are loan services provided to micro-entrepreneurs and small business owners and are provided according to specific mechanisms and procedures adopted by Tamweelcom at its head office in Amman or at any of its many branches set up in the Kingdom to serve the largest number possible of clients.

Established in 1999 as a non-profit company aiming to eliminate poverty and unemployment, Tamweelcom which is fully owned by Noor Al-Hussein Foundation that operates independently under the umbrella of the King Hussein Foundation, has managed to finance more than 83 thousand projects, with a total value of more than JD41 million, of which 87% was given to women, and is in the continues search to develop its standards and services.
