Around 100 clients of the Jordan Micro Credit Company (Tamweelcom) have departed onUmra. The clients were selected according to a set of standards related to the loyalty card points that is granted for free to the Company’s clients.
Umra trip is part of a series of non-financial services and a set of prizes that Tamweelcom provided to its clients for 2009 as part of Seifak Ala Keifak (your summer as you wish), which was launched this. The festival includes valuable prizes, through which Tamweelcom endeavors to fulfill its social mission and translate its social responsibility towards its clients and the local community.
In his farewell remarks to the pilgrims, Tamweelcom’s CEO Ziad Al-Refai said: “This is an activity that stems from the Company’s belief in the role it plays towards social responsibility and for the benefit of its clients.”
Al-Refai stressed that “ Tamweelcom is keen to provide non-financial service free of charge to its clients.”
Umra trip, which is provided by Tamweelcom for the second year running, is an effective tool for women empowerment, which falls under Tamweelcom’s social objectives. 95% of the participants in the trip are women, which is nearly equal to the percentage of women borrowers from the Company’s 40,000 clients.
