Non-Financial Services
Tamweelcom’s media campaign was launched in the beginning of 2007 under the motto “Tamweelcom More than a Loan”, with the aim of promoting its non-financial services of purely social objectives. Although Tamweelcom is a non-profit company, it is managed as a commercial entity providing loans for small projects, which in turn extend a helping hand to the Company’s clients by raising their living standards through training and support. For example, Tamweelcom provided its clients with a vital window of opportunity for regional marketing through Souk Ayyadi and its bazaars and showrooms. It also opened wider commercial horizons for its clients through the business linkage services, in addition to finding additional solutions to help its clients shoulder their social burdens and commitment by offering the Tamweelcom Educational Fund service.
The campaign, “ Tamweelcom More than a Loan”, included the launch of the Souk Ayyadi initiative by inaugurating a permanent showroom in Jabal Al-Hussein. This showroom, which presents the very concept of interactive showcasing, marks a pioneering experiment that is the first of its kind in the Kingdom. The promotional campaign also included several annual bazaars that complement the Souk Ayyadi, covering the various governorates in the Kingdom north to south. These bazaars are managed by Tamweelcom under the Marketing Gateway project, offering its men and women owners of small projects wider marketing potential and the opportunity to interact directly with buyers in order to learn about their needs and desires and be able to meet them directly and as quickly as possible.
Tamweelcom developed very close relations with its clients. Consequently, the Company took upon itself the social responsibility to search and create additional services that would provide its clients the appropriate atmosphere to work and succeed in their endeavors. Tamweelcom offered the “EducationalGrant” initiative to its clients with the aim of helping them cover the cost of schooling for their children. This initiative marks an additional effort on the part of Tamweelcom to eliminate poverty pockets in the Kingdom.

Business-to-Business Linkages
Through its Business-to-Business Linkages, Tamweelcom endeavors to create links among the members of its larger family of micro-entrepreneurs and owners of small projects, consequently providing them with less costly sources for purchasing their needs and the tools on which their professions and projects are based. Through this service, Tamweelcom’s clients were also able to benefit from the exchange of expertise and the intersection of the skills of their professions.

School Educational Grant
Tamweelcom’s interest in education stems from the growing rate of school dropouts, which is increasing in Jordan and which is evident in poor areas, where children are obliged to contribute to and help out with their families’ expenditures. Their role as such becomes more important than attending school, leading to an increase in the number of school dropouts. This is in addition to the high cost of school education, which increases the financial burden shouldered by poor families.
A clear evidence of its constant endeavors to improve all aspects of society is Tamweelcom’s plan to provide educational scholarships to children of its leading clients, from which more than 1000 students will benefit directly and by which students are registered and the fees of their following scholastic year are calculated. Tamweelcom has set up specific standards according to which the 1000 poor students from its most devoted and productive clients are selected.
By providing around 1000 families the opportunity to teach their children and not have to shoulder the financial burden, Tamweelcom hopes that the educational scholarship will be a model for all to follow in order to raise the level of education in the Kingdom. This initiative is considered an experimental and pioneering project in preparation for Tamweelcom’s bigger and permanent future Educational Fund.
