Performance indicators provide clear proof of the success of the Jordan Micro Credit Company (Tamweelcom) in fulfilling its visions and objectives. Over the past decade of hard work and ambitions, the numbers of individuals and groups from all segments of society, who benefit from Tamweelcom’s loans, have doubled.

Tamweelcom, which started out as a non-profit organization with a registered capital of not more than JD30,000, has become now one of the largest micro-credit companies on the local and regional levels, with a capital of JD3 million.

Tamweelcom adopted the principle of transparency and financial disclosure as clear proof of its credibility and commitment to sound international practices in financial processes.  Tamweelcom received many internationally recognized awards, including the Financial Transparency Award for 2006 and the Transparency Merit for 2005, in addition to joining the MIX Market information network in 2002.
