Fathia Sonnokrot

Fathia is a wife and a mother of four, yet she is not an ordinary mother; Fathia possesses enough ambition and determination to allow her to support and provide for her entire family.

Fathia worked in many fields and crafts such as tricot and flower arrangements, she also designed accessories and decorative ornaments, until she found an interesting, profitable and somewhat difficult craft; the craft of manufacturing Gypsum and moulds for industrial use. Fathia was supported by her retired husband and her family members, who encouraged her to strive and continue improving her skills and benefit from them to uplift her family's standard of living.

Fathia knocked on many doors trying to raise money to start up her simple domestic project, but found no response, until she found her way to Tamweelcom. Doors began to open in front of Fathia, and obstacles started to fade away when she obtained her first loan from Tamweelcom. Fathia left her family a while to learn this craft properly and professionally.

Fathia got financial and moral support from Tamweelcom, where she obtained her first loan amongst a group of four people, through which she worked hard to develop her craft of manufacturing gypsum. Tamweelcom was a helping hand in promoting Fathia's products through enlisting her to participate in various Bazaars and exhibitions such as the global village, providing her with enough money to pay for her loan in time, and at the same time allowing her to expand her work.

Fathia found in Tamweelcom support and encouragement to continue achieving her goals. As soon as she paid her first loan, Fathia rushed to get her second loan which was used to buy and make moulds used in manufacturing gypsum. Her collection of moulds expanded from two to 61 gypsum moulds which led to a noticeable increase in her productivity, and managed to double her income.

In honor of this struggling woman, and as a gesture of support and encouragement of micro- scale projects, her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited Fathia at her humble home, and took a look at her products, and congratulated her for winning the city group prize as one of the best micro projects through Tamweelcom. Tamweelcom also offered Fathia a free trip to Aqaba rewarding her for her success and discipline, and encouraging her to achieve further successes.

Fathia is now preparing to participate in one of the Bazaars held by Tamweelcom in several regions of the Kingdom during the summer of 2007, in order to offer its services by offering the convenient environment to display and sell beneficiaries products and uplift their living standards and their income

Fathia plans on obtaining her third loan from Tamweelcom to develop her craft, through buying a thermal oven, a shop to display her products, in addition to transportation means to distribute the products in the market.

Fathia now knows that with Tamweelcom there are no boundaries to success.
