Success Stories
Nadia
Nadia sits at her table setting strings of beads, one bead at a time, with patience and faith that she can change her situation. Her husband’s interrupted work had forced her to look for additional work to help support the cost of living and meet the needs of their four children. Nadia began making bead rosaries beads ten years ago through the Roman Catholic Church, which used to provide her with raw materials for this profession in terms of strings and beads. The work secured a simple profit that hardly paralleled her aspirations and dreams of a decent life and a good education for her children.
Nadia looked for additional work that would help increase in income. Indeed, she received a large order for about 1000 rosaries, which would provide a good income for her. At that moment, she started to ponder about her dire need for funding for her project. As she searched, she came across one of Tamweelcom’s clients who encouraged Nadia to become one of Tamweelcom’s creative clients.
Nadia went to Tamweelcom expecting to receive straightforward financial support. Instead, she was pleasantly surprised to see and experience the family atmosphere and the spirit of the one team that Tamweelcom enveloped her in. Tamweelcom gave Nadia JD450 as her first loan in partnership with a group of ladies in 2005. With this loan, she managed to buy the necessary raw materials for making the rosaries and she was able to complete her first big order. Nadia also benefited from Tamweelcom’s special loan for the Holy Month of Ramadan, which was JD100, through which she bought some simple tools to help her handiwork.
True, Nadia found salvation from neediness in creating the rosaries, but the market for rosaries is a fluctuating one. She tried to market her products through nearby shops, but to no avail, until, that is, she founds the solution with Tamweelcom, which provides hope against every moment of despair. Nadia received her second loan of JD 900 from Tamweelcom, through which she prepared to take part in the bazaar that was held at the King Hussein Gardens as well as in Souk Ayadi.
These activities sponsored by Tamweelcom opened up new horizons for Nadia. She met different Tamweelcom clients and they began their cooperation by merging their professions to create new and unique products, in addition to participating in JARA market and dividing the fees and profits. Nadia began to manufacture pieces of traditional jewelry in order to create more opportunities for profit and diversify her creations for her clients. She also benefited for her participation in these bazaars as she dealt directly with clients and came to understand their needs and tastes, and in turn improve the quality and skill of her products.
Because ambition is always revived with Tamweelcom, Nadia received another loan of JD1000 at the beginning of this year. She is endeavoring to fulfill the dream of owning her own shop to display and sell her own products. She also wants to introduce new works, designs and creations in order to achieve new and bigger successes. Tamweelcom will provide Nadia with moral support in addition to the financial support by displaying her products at all of Tamweelcom’s bazaars and souks, as well as the company’s official website.
