Na'ema Qreinawi’s

Na'ema Qreinawi’s story with struggle began around seven years ago when she learned from her husband the art of wood carving.  A hobby at first, her skill developed into a profession with the aim of fulfilling her aspirations and dreams of giving her growing family a decent life.  From carving wood, Na'ema advanced her profession into mold-making, then into the artistic manufacture and design of gypsum and ivory pieces.  Many a means but the goal is one: Na'ema wanted to create artistic pieces in order to bring in sufficient income that would fulfill her family’s needs and secure the requirements of her yet-unborn child, as well as improve her living conditions.

Life is all about sharing and cooperation.  Na'ema’s husband began to dedicate some of his time to help her with the wood or plastic molds, in which she would pour the cold gypsum, creating a life-like spring or a brilliant model of the ancient treasury of Petra.  Her husband would then go around door to door in the neighborhood trying to sell what Na'ema has created, and by doing so, he came to understand the requirements of the market in terms of desired designs that would sell better.

Their needs forced to use all their assets and pushed them to find materials and the simple tools that would help them develop the profession and create more innovative and wonderful designs.  Na'ema transferred one of the rooms in their humble home into a workshop, where she would create the pieces of art and prepare them for sale.  She continued to work in this modest manner within her limited capabilities until she came to know about Tamweelcom from a friend who was a Tamweelcom client.  Na'ema went to Tamweelcom filled with hope that they would be able to help her out of her difficult circumstances and assist her in meeting life’s demands and burdens.

Na'ema received her first loan of JD300 in mid 2007.  With this amount, she bought all her simple tools in terms of raw materials, gypsum and paints.  The support she received from Tamweelcom was not limited to financial support.  Through Tamweelcom, Na'ema was able to participate in Souk Ayadi, which is organized by the company as an initiative designed to support and encourage its aspiring entrepreneur clients.  The Souk gave Na'ema a noticeable increase in sales.  She was also able to meet other clients and traders from Tamweelcom, which constituted the beginning of potential cooperation and expansion for her profession.

Tamweelcom is from the people and aims primarily to serve the people.  As such, it is well-positioned to know the importance of supporting the families of the local community, especially during special occasions.  Tamweelcom brought joy to Na'ema’s household, as well as the households of its other clients, when it provided the Ramadan loan, through which some financial burdens particular to that occasion were alleviated, bringing reassurance and stability to its clients and their families.

Tamweelcom renewed its support to Na'ema by giving her a new loan of JD 900 in the beginning of 2008.  Na'ema used this amount to develop her tools and capacity to create progressive pieces of art.  She bought a wood cutting machine and a sculpting gun and added brushes and paints to her collection.  She also prepared to advance her creations and fulfill her dreams.  With improving financial situation and increased demand for her creations, Na'ema and her husband rented the attic in their home and moved the workshop to it, away from the children.  She also hired some helpers in the workshop in an attempt to increase her productivity and ability to meet the increasing number of wholesale orders locally and from the Gulf region.

While hard at work, the ceiling of the modest workshop collapsed, and with it her dreams and aspirations.  The collapse destroyed a large number of the pieces that were scheduled for export.  This setback, however, was temporary.  With Tamweelcom, Na'ema’s dreams were safe, and this encouraged her to surpass the devastation and begin anew with relentless determination and persistence.

“The best thing about it is that you can benefit from a new loan and a relatively larger amount as soon as you finish repaying the previous loan,” said Na'ema and her husband when we asked them if they want to start another cycle and receive a new loan from Tamweelcom.  Na'ema is now preparing to showcase her beautiful handiwork at Tamweelcom’s Souk Ayadi and to participate in the bazaars that are organized by the company throughout the Kingdom to open up the horizon of success for its aspiring clients.
